Cannabis sativa: The Plant and its Impact on People
During fall quarter of 2018 the Plant Sciences Department offered a special graduate seminar series focused on Cannabis sativa: The Plant and its Impact on People. The series included seminars on the biology, biochemistry and genetics of cannabis, the clinical potential of medicinal cannabis, the neurobiology and pharmacology of phytocannabinoids and endocannabinoids pharmacology, and the sociological and legal issues associated with cannabis use and production. Scientific experts from across the UC system in addition to leaders in the cannabis industry presented their stories in open seminars that were video recorded.
